Live through Botswana’s principal safari areas combined with the breath taking natural splendour of the Victoria Falls

Day 1-2: Okavango Delta

Visitors are met at any site convenient to them in Johannesburg or Pretoria and are shuttle transferred to O R Tambo International Airport for a flight to Maun. From Maun, a charter flight takes them into the heart of one of Africa’s most secluded and natural safari areas – the Okavango Delta.

Two safari activities are conducted on a daily basis.  The Okavango Delta, one of the most incredible wilderness sanctuaries in Africa, is 15 000 square kilometres of water channels, lagoons and islands. Each year, floodwaters flow from the central African highlands over 1 000 km away into the Delta to create this wondrous wetland within a desert. It is home to large numbers of wildlife from common mammals and birdlife to those that are not often seen elsewhere, such as sitatunga, wild dog, and wattled crane.

Day 3-4: Chobe

After the final morning safari in the Okavango Delta is followed by a charter flight to Kasane, where guests are met and transferred to Chobe Game Lodge. The lodge sits on a hill overlooking the Chobe River. The park is named after this majestic river that protects 10.700 km² of the northern Kalahari Desert, providing ensuing wilderness and a game density that is steadily remarkable. Famed for its massive elephant populations, big herds of buffalo and incredible birdlife. The late afternoon is dedicated to your first open 4×4 drive safari.

Visitors spend two nights at Chobe Game Lodge on a full board basis. Two game activities are performed every day by experienced rangers and trackers. The game activities comprise of open four-wheel game drives in the national park or enjoying water-based game viewing from a boat on the Chobe River.

Day 5 : Victoria Falls

The final morning safari in Chobe is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to Botswana’s border with Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is a town in western Zimbabwe and a gateway to the massive waterfall of the same name. Here, the Zambezi River plummets over a cliff and into the Boiling Pot before flowing through a series of gorges. The Devil’s Pool, a natural infinity pool, is on the edge of a sheer drop. Spanning the river is 1905 Victoria Falls Bridge. The surrounding Zambezi National Park is home to white rhinos and elephants Zimbabwe has more viewpoints, including the Main Falls.

Day 6 : Victoria Falls

The morning is devoted to visiting the Falls. Your tourAfrika guide will take you on an unforgettable experience through the Victoria Falls rainforest, a journey that not only affords a view of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World but provides a great deal of interesting facts about the geology, wildlife and history of Africa’s most famous landmark. Listen to magical tales of local legend while you enjoy the constant spray from the “The Smoke that Thunders”. Your tourAfrika guide will also help ensure the best photographic opportunities of this breath-taking World Heritage Site.

The afternoon is spent at relaxing and refuelling in these tranquil surroundings afterwards your guide will usher you to enjoy an African sunset cruise while watching game come down to the water’s edge for a late afternoon drink is sure to be an experience remembered for a lifetime. Hippo sightings are particularly common on the cruise and sometimes elephant will swim across the Zambezi as they move between Zimbabwe and Zambia and their favourite feeding areas. After the sunset cruise, guests are transferred back to their hotel.

Day 7 : Departure

After your early morning breakfast and hotel check-out formalities your tourAfrika guide will escort you to the Zambezi Nature Sanctuary for an opportunity to see some of Africa’s biggest crocodiles, ranging from babies to full grown adults. On conclusion of this activity visitors are transferred to Victoria Falls for a return flight to Johannesburg. On arrival guests are shuttle transferred to a location convenient to them in Johannesburg or Pretoria after unforgettable Okavango, Chobe and Victoria Falls safari.
