Breakfast is followed by the sampling one of the many exciting activities available at Victoria Falls. These could include: flights over the falls, canoe safaris, white water rafting, horseback safaris, elephant back safaris or historic Bridge Tour is a journey through 100 years of Victorian engineering to the heart of Cecil John Rhodes’ vision of a “Cape to Cairo” railway. The tour includes a light hearted but informative talk on the history of the bridge, magnificent views of the rapids, rainbows and majesty of the Victoria Falls and Batoka Gorges on the walkways underneath the bridge and an opportunity to see a bungee jump up close.
The afternoon is spent at relaxing and refuelling in these tranquil surroundings afterwards your guide will usher you to enjoy an African sunset cruise while watching game come down to the water’s edge for a late afternoon drink is sure to be an experience remembered for a lifetime. Hippo sightings are particularly common on the cruise and sometimes elephant will swim across the Zambezi as they move between Zimbabwe and Zambia and their favourite feeding areas. After the sunset cruise, guests are transferred back to their hotel.

After an early morning breakfast and check-out procedures, the rest of the morning is spent your leisure to sample some of the many other exciting activities available at Victoria Falls. These could include: flights over the falls, canoe safaris, white water rafting, horseback safaris, elephant back safaris and many more. After morning activities, guests are transferred by road to Davisons Camp in Hwange National Park where they will spend 4 nights. Nestled discreetly beneath a grove of false mopane trees, the remote Davison’s Camp is found in the private Linkwasha Concession – one of the most prolific wildlife areas in Hwange National Park. Davison’s Camp is located in one of the best game viewing areas of the entire Park. In winter, the waterhole in front of camp is a magnet for wildlife great and small. With over 100 mammal species, Hwange has some of the highest mammal diversity of any national park in Southern Africa. The late afternoon/evening is dedicated to your scheduled camp activity led by your highly experienced guide.

Hwange’s mix of different veld and landscape types means that game viewing is productive year-round. Wildlife frequently encountered in this area includes lion, large herds of elephant, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, spotted hyaena, cheetah, giraffe, sable, roan, blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and reedbuck. In summer, wildebeest, zebra and eland are found in abundance on the open plains, while in winter elephant congregate in enormous numbers around the waterholes. Birdlife in the area is prolific 400 plus bird species. The camp schedule two daily activities. They encompass the following – 1. Game drives, which occur in this concession which are situated in the most productive area of Hwange National Park. The varied habitats and vegetation types as well as countless waterholes mean that drives are exciting with diverse species to be seen.
Hwange was proclaimed some 80 years ago and has served as a haven for one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa. There is no better way to experience this park than on foot with an experienced, qualified walking safari guide. Evening drives, Hwange ‘night act’ includes nocturnal species such as lesser bushbaby, spotted hyaena, leopard, lion, Selous mongoose, pangolin, caracal, porcupine, scrub hare, springhare and even honey badger 4. Village Visits, an authentic village experience takes place in a manner that is respectful to all parties. The experience is usually around four hours, with game drives to and from the village, and guided by one of the local villagers or a guide. It often includes a guided tour of the school, meeting the headman or headwoman and enjoying cultural exchanges with the villagers.
