Visitors are met at any location convenient to them in Johannesburg or Pretoria from where they are shuttle transferred to O R Tambo International Airport for a flight to Maun. In Maun, light charter plane fly visitors into the hub of the Okavango Delta and the lavish Mombo Camp.
Okavango River, fourth longest river system in southern Africa, running basically southeastward for 1,600 km from central Angola, where it is known as the Kubango, to the Kalahari (desert) in northern Botswana, where the river terminates in an immense inland delta known as the Okavango Swamp. Generally flat, with a height variation of less than two meters across its area, dry land in the Okavango Delta is predominantly comprised of numerous small islands, formed when vegetation takes root on termite mounds, however larger islands exist with Chief’s Island, the largest, having been formed on a tectonic fault line. The late afternoon is dedicated to your first Okavango Delta safari performed by an experienced ranger and tracker, in a region where the wilderness and the species that grace it have generally lived unscathed by time and humanity. Visitors spend three nights at Mombo Camp, and two game activities are performed every day by their experienced rangers and trackers.

After final morning safari experience at Mombo is followed by a brief flight to Kings Pool, which situated in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana. Linyanti Reserve is characterised by open grasslands, a riverine forest, mixed woodlands and the dry Savuti Channel.
Visitors spend three nights at Kings Pool with two game activities performed every day by their experienced rangers and trackers, who are resident at the lodge. The Linyanti safari area is not as popular as the Okavango, but nonetheless offers excellent game viewing in one of the continent’s genuinely wild places.
