Your Botswana’s Finest Lodges and Vic Falls Safari kicks-off in Johannesburg. Visitors are met by tourAfrika representative at any location convenient to you in Johannesburg or Pretoria and shuttle transferred to O R Tambo International Airport for a flight headed to Maun. From Maun, visitors will take a connecting brief charter flight to the immense even stretch of the Makgadikgadi Pans. Makgadikgadi salt pan– with an area of 3 900 sq. kms is situated in the middle of the dry savanna of north-eastern Botswana. It is one of the largest salt flats in the world. The pan is all that remains of the formerly enormous Lake Makgadikgadi.
Guests spend three nights at Jack’s Camp on a full board basis. Two activities are included daily. Activities during the wet season include day and night game drives, bird walks and game walks. During the dry season all other activities are available including use of quad bikes out on the pans. The camp also operates a 5-day fly camp option to Kubu Island (weather permitting) with quad bikes for parties with at least four guests.

The morning activity at Jack’s Camp is followed by breakfast, after which visitors proceed to the heart of Okavango Delta by taking a light charter flight. Okavango River, fourth longest river system in southern Africa, running basically southeastward for 1,600 km from central Angola, where it is known as the Kubango, to the Kalahari (desert) in northern Botswana, where the river terminates in an immense inland delta known as the Okavango Swamp. Generally flat, with a height variation of less than two meters across its area, dry land in the Okavango Delta is predominantly comprised of numerous small islands, formed when vegetation takes root on termite mounds, however larger islands exist with Chief’s Island, the largest, having been formed on a tectonic fault line. The late afternoon is dedicated to your first Okavango Delta safari performed by an experienced ranger and tracker, in a region where the wilderness and the species that grace it have generally lived unscathed by time and humanity. Visitors spend three nights at Mombo Camp, and two game activities are performed every day by their experienced rangers and trackers.

A final game drive in the Okavango Delta is followed by breakfast, after which visitors board a charter flight to Linyanti and the luxurious Kings Pool Camp. Linyanti Reserve is characterised by open grasslands, a riverine forest, mixed woodlands and the dry Savuti Channel.
Visitors spend three nights at Kings Pool with two game activities performed every day by their experienced rangers and trackers, who are resident at the lodge. The Linyanti safari area is not as popular as the Okavango, but nonetheless offers excellent game viewing in one of the continent’s genuinely wild places.

A final morning game activity in Linyanti is followed by a brief charter flight to Kasane in the east, where visitors will be met and transferred to Zambia and on to Livingstone. Livingstone is located on the Zambian side of the mighty Vic Falls, which gets you right up close to rushing water: find a quiet spot above the falls to sit for a while and walk across the Knife-Edge Bridge. On reaching Livingstone, guests will be assisted with check-in at the Royal Livingstone Hotel just above from the falls. The late afternoon is spent in relaxing

The morning is dedicated to visiting the great Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The area around the falls gives possibility to unbelievable views, the rumbling waters build an amazing marvel of rainbowed sprays. It sustains small rain forest which, and on a regular basis, draws in elephants. In the dry season, we may take a walk across to Livingstone Island for a heart-stopping peek into the roiling gorge below. The African curio market at the entry to the falls offers visitors the possibility to incorporate some shopping before returning to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
In the late afternoon, visitors experience a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.
